Franklin Clyde Coker, beloved husband of Barbara Ardis Coker, was a veteran of WWII having served with General Patton's 3rd Army, 6th Armored Division. He retired from the SC Army National Guard in 1982; and, served as a State employee in the office of the Adjutant General until 1994. His military career was 42 years of dedicated service to God and Country.

Born in the Shiloh area of Sumter County, near Turbeville, the 9th of 10 children to Whiteford and Mary Alice Floyd Coker. He learned about hard work on the farm of "Uncle Jim" Floyd.

He served as a deacon and as an elder and enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

A man of integrity and dedication who has left a heritage of honor. We will never forget!
