Miss Edith Cecilia Romig was one of ten children born to the Reverend Willian Harvey and Cecilia Adele Bigler Romig. Her father was a Moravian Home minister, and the family traveled to PA as well as Iowa. Rev. Romig finally retired in 1915 in Grinnnell, IA. and the family settled down. Sadly, Rev. Romig died in 1916, and Cecilia Adele moved her large and maturing brood to Madison, WI. Edith continued to live with her mother, the last to leave "the nest".

Edith's first marriage at about age 52 was on May 3, 1941 to James Allen Stephenson. The couple had no children. James had a son, Clarence from a previous marriage.

Her second marriage was to Floyd Liddon Moon on 10 July, 1976 in Milwaukee, WI. The couple were in their 80s.
Floyd outlived his bride by 4 years, dying in 1986.
