Mr. Bow had a long career in corporate management with the Wickes Companies in Wheeling, until his retirement in 1988. After his retirement, he and his wife Judy traveled throughout the world, including Alaska and Hawaii. A man of great humility, joy and humor, he was anxious to lend a hand to anyone. He was considered a good friend to many. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Bow is survived by his wife, Judy, whom he married Aug. 29, 1980, in Lake County; four daughters, Dona Kilbourn of Saline, Mich., Sandra of Houston, Texas, Kimberly (James) Markey of Saline and Susan (Todd) Sells of Flint, Mich.; grandchildren Danielle Kilbourn, Jessica and Dustin Markey and Leesa; a sister, Geraldine (Will) Black; and nieces and nephews Mark (Nancy) Black, David (Barbara) Black, Jill (Clark) Bassett, and Jesse and Kate Keller. He also remained a friend with his first wife, Nancy Bow of Saginaw.
He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis; and his parents, Harvey and Marie.
Burial was in White Memorial Cemetery, Cuba Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Chicagoland Chapter, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie IL 60076.
