David left Russia in 1924 as an ordained minister, traveling to Mexico, then Stirling, Alberta and the Springridge district in 1927.
29-July-1928, Rev Janzen was chosen as the spiritual leader for the Blumenthaler Mennonite Church. 29-May-1932 he served as Elder until 1954.
In 1962 he retired to Coaldale, Alberta until his passing on 14-May-1965.
Laid to rest near the Springridge Church in their Cemetery.
