Born Sept. 25, 1907, in Snydersburg, he was a son of Frank J. and Cecilia Mottmiller Wolbert.
Mr. Wolbert was the owner-operator of Wolbert Coal Co.
He worked 24 years as a Knox Township supervisor, retiring in 1983.
Mr. Wolbert was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of St. George.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and crossword puzzles.
Mr. Wolbert was married in St. Joseph Church, Lucinda, June 2, 1941, to Marion P. Steiner, who
survives.
Also surviving are a son, Norbert E. Wolbert Jr. and his wife, Diana, of Lucinda; three daughters
and their husbands, Donna Mae and Jerry Judy and Carol and Regis Lenhart, all of Lucinda, and Joanne and Samuel Froella of Cochranton; 10 grandchildren, Lonny Judy, Holly Judy, Heather Froella Papinchak, Amy Froella, Todd Lenhart, Carrie Lenhart, Erin Lenhart, Christopher Wolbert, Rebecca Wolbert Conrad and Adam Wolbert; and one greatgrandchild, Carter Judy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wolbert was preceded in death by seven brothers, Augustine Wolbert, Albert Wolbert, Stephen Wol bert, Francis Wolbert, Theodore Wolbert, Cyril Wolbert and Raymond Wolbert; and three sisters, Irene Griebel, Eleanor Ochs and Eulalia Ochs.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Borland Funeral Home Inc. in Leeper.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, Lucinda, with the Rev. Joseph Czarkowski as the presider.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lucinda.
