His inscription says mother's initials are M.J. but no females married to a SANDERS in 1849 had those initials.
Sylvester and Mary are the closest to matching. They married in 1848 and have an infant son, John H. SANDERS, buried at Caesarscreek Baptist Church Cemetery. Sylvester and Mary removed to Van Wert County, Ohio and are buried there.
