While working there, she met adult film star Lauren Brice, who convinced her to come to Hollywood to try her hand at hardcore adult films. Kim took her stage name from B-movie actress Tawny Kitaine, made her debut in 1991, and moved on to a number of adult video films. In the late 1990s, she had suffered from a seizure condition, and had crashed her car into a ditch during one episode. She died in a tragic accident in the shower, where she apparently suffered a seizure, and collapsed. The washcloth she was using apparently plugged the drain hole, water then filled the bathtub, and she drowned.
