Kathleen Julia Ingraham
Lansing
Age 92, entered into Eternal Life and the warm embraces of her Savior, Jesus and her husband on September 5, 2008. Kathleen was born in Perry, MI on August 27, 1916 and was preceded in death by her parents, Frank A. and Mary E. (Crahan) Munsch, her sister Helena McKee in September 1988, husband John Alexander Ingraham Sr. in November 1984, and grandson Luke Alexander Ingraham in May 1979.
Kathleen is survived by her brother, Francis Munsch of Woodland Hills, CA, and her eight children; sons John Jr. (Pamela) of Lansing, Joseph (Carol) of Lansing, Paul of East Lansing, Daniel (Deborha) of Haslett and Mark of East Lansing, daughters Mary (Jerry) Swift of Lansing, Anne (Richard) Mulder of Brighton and Monica Sebenick of East Lansing. Kathleen is also survived by 17 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Patrick (Cindy) McCormick, Michael (Marianella) McCormick, Daniel McCormick, Joy McCormick, Jessica Ingraham, Angela Ingraham, Bethany (Jason) Aten, Julia Ingraham, Shawn (Lyndsay) Ingraham, David (Jessica) Sebenick, Matthew Sebenick, Eric Ingraham, Andrea Ingraham, Ryan (Darlene) Rennier, Kyle (Katie) Ingraham, Andrew Ingraham, and Alex Ingraham. Kathleen is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Kathleen graduated from Perry High School in 1933 and was recently honored at a school reunion for her 75 years. Kathleen married John Ingraham on June 19, 1945 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Morrice, MI. During her work career, she worked for the State of Michigan in the Treasury Dept. and later for the Michigan TB and Respiratory Disease Assoc. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Cathedral Church in Lansing. She enjoyed Tiger baseball games and family trips to Olds Park to watch the Lugnuts. She also enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and trips with Mary and Jerry. She enjoyed the annual family reunions with the Marin clan. She was a cat lover who always cared about animals, even strays. Her Catholic faith guided her and gave her strength. She was an example to her family and friends of what it means to be a good and caring person. She will be missed but her memory will continue through many generations.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Cathedral with Msgr. Michael Murphy as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is Monday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 520 E. Mt. Hope Ave., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continue on Tuesday at the church at 9:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Right to Life, Mid-Michigan Chapter, 233 N.
