Services for John Earl Ivey, 83, Rt 3, Quitman, held Wednesday, Pine Grove Baptist Church; Revs. Kenneth Stokes, T. D. Traylor and Buddy Braddock officiating. Burial in church cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge. Died Monday at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. Survivors - wife, Mrs. Cassie Ivey; two sons, Ernest H. Ivey, Laurel, James "Bud" Ivey, Quitman; two daughters, Mrs. Mrytle Tew and Mrs. Pat Dunagan, both of Quitman; two brothers, Elmo Ivey, Quitman, Luke Ivey, Sugarland, TX; a sister Mrs. Virginia James, Quitman; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
