Born Feb. 22, 1981, in Boyle County, he was the son of Lupe Valencia of Springfield and Linda Baugh Valencia of Perryville. He was a student at University of Missouri, studying pre-law and journalism, and was night auditor at Campus Inn Motel. He was a member of Doctors Fork Baptist Church.
Other survivors include two sisters, Maria and Rachel Valencia, both of Perryville; grandparents, Harold and Connie Baugh of Perryville and Elias Valencia of Springfield; and his great-grandmothers, Virgie Baugh of Perryville and Gillerma Ramirez of Mexico.
