John L. Call, Former Barber, Dies at Age 46
Stricken at work in war plant; Rites Thursday
John Lesley Call, 46, of 1403 Meadow-rd, died this morning after being stricken with a heart attack as he arrived at the Dennison Engineering Co., where he was employed as an inspector
He was well known as a Columbus barber, having owned a shop at Hunter and Second avenues and worked in other shops. He retired from the barber business just nine months ago. A native of New Straitsville, he came to Columbus a little over 20 years ago.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn L. Call, owner of a beauty shop at W. Fifth and Forsythe avenues; his mother, Mrs. Lavina Call, and a sister Mrs. C.L. Poulton.
Friends may call at the residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Feil funeral home with Dr. Harold Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
