"BRAZEAL-FAVER FAMILY MEET IN SEYMOUR FOR REUNION JULY 12-13-14
The Brazeal and Faver reunion held July 12, 13, 14 in Seymour, was held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bedford Faver, Mr. Willie Faver, and Mrs. Mattie Brazel, who is a sister to the two Faver brothers. The reunion was held in Seymour because of its central location to those attending and has been held here for several years, except during the war, when it was temporarily discontinued. The members of the Faver and Brazeal family wrote the Chamber of Commerce of Seymour for permission to hold their reunion here.

Those who were present at the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Faver, ... Mr. and Mrs. Tollie Faver, Snyder; ... Everyone kept in the camping style by eating barbecue deliciously prepared by Jeff Faver from Snyder. To increase the gaiety the group danced everything from the square dance to jitterbug, sang, and played a game of baseball, which veered slightly from the accustomed nine innings in that only four innings were played because of the heat and the sudden urge to eat by those who were participating."

"VISITS BIRTHPLACE - T.A. (TOLLIE) FAVER, 2005 Avenue M. celebrated his 80th birthday today, and here is shown at the old family home place south of Fluvanna. He was born in a dugout to Mr. and Mrs., T.B. Faver. His father brought the first riding cultivator into the county and also walked and led the first white-faced bull that was shipped into Scurry County to the 9-R ranch, 15 miles west of Snyder. Faver reminded that it was March 27, 1895, that all of the cattle that were sheltered in this area froze to death. Hundreds of animals froze with 'snow banked up to their bellies.'"
