Nell Brown of Greenville died Thursday morning at Citizens General Hospital. Funeral services will be at Peters Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Gideon Bush and Rev. Fred Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born in Hunt County on Feb. 12, 1917, to O.B. and Mae Umbarger Williams. She married Joe Brown in Anson on Feb. 4, 1936. She was a member of Tidwell Baptist Church and Hunt County Doll Club.
Surviving are her mother of Abilene; two sons, Harlan T. Brown of Greenville and Kenneth W. Brown of Denton; two brothers, Jessie Williams of Breckenridge and Glendell Williams of Abilene; one sister, Theda Thurman of Abilene and two grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband in 1965, three brothers and her father.
Pallbearers will be Guy Calder, Raymond Gray, Leo Cooper, Steve Sliger, Gary Greenwood and Roy Hogge.
Memorials may be made to Tidwell Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Box 329, Greenville, Tex. 75401.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Peters Funeral Home.
