Age 81, died January 22, 1986. Born August 24, 1904, Mr. Reed had retired after 43 years with R.E.O. and had been a long time labor leader in the Lansing area. He was president of R.E.O. Local #650 for 20 years and was president of International Truck and Bus Council for many years. He was also listed in the Who's Who of Labor. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cecile M.; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Calvin Dodge of Lansing; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Linda Reed and Darwin and Sue Reed, all of Holt; also 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held, Friday, 2:30 p.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Buwalda, Pastor of Holt United Methodist Church officiating. Internment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends at the Funeral Home, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
