PEORIA - Raymond James Rogers, 74, of 3605 W. Warwick died at 4:52 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his home.

He was born Aug. 20, 1925, in East Peoria to Robert and Ella Curtis Rogers.

Surviving are one son, Daniel of Peoria; one daughter, Karen (and Stephen) Thomas of Peoria; two brothers, Don of Peoria and Robert of Camden, Ark.; two sisters, Louise Pankey of Crossville, Tenn., and Barbara (and Jack) Whiteside of Florida; five grandchildren; and one greatgranddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Becky Williams, one infant daughter, Donna Rogers, one infant son, James, one brother and three sisters.

He was a World War II Navy Seabee veteran. He was a truck driver for Roy Fritch Construction Co. in Peoria, retiring in 1972. He had also worked for Charles Sutton Construction Co. in East Peoria and was a baker.

There will be no service or visitation. Cremation has been accorded. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur chapel.
