John R. 59, of Peoria died at Dwight Veterans Hospital,where he had been a patient since Dec.3,1954.
Born in Peoria Mar.11,1897, to Charles and Mae Klepfer Lewis. He married Alice Patricia Foley Oct. 1918, in Rockford. She survives, also surviving are four sons, three daughters, one sister, 14 grandchildren.
