The Wisconsin native lived in Statesboro for 30 years and was a Primitive Baptist. He was a professor of physics and head of the physics department at Georgia Southern Colege from 1963 until his retirement in 1975. Following retirement he was named professor emeritus of physics and head emeritus of the department. During World War II, he was a scientific adviser to U.S. forces. He was graduated with honors from Beloit College in Wisconsin and received his doctorate in physics from Johns-Hopkins University in Baltimore.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. LaUna Driggers Bryant of Statesboro.
Funeral and burial were Monday in Stilson.
