Laura married Thomas Walter Hernan and had the following children: Thomas Walter Jr; Donald Charles; Robert Anthony and Elizabeth.
Before 1944, Laura divorced Thomas and by 1953, along with Captain Harold Gatton of the famous and fabled Groote Beer Yacht, sailed down the Eastern Seaboard over the next two years until reaching Houston, Texas. By 1955 she ended up settling in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida and eventually settled in Margate, Florida.
Laura later married Oliver Waldron and continued living in Margate.
On January 3, 2002, Laura died and was interred next to her husband Oliver in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens South Cemetary in Davie, Florida.(Bio by TRH)
