Hampton Man Passed Away Monday Morning
Funeral services for Edward L Dohrmann, of Hampton, were held Wednesday afternoon, at the Trinity Lutheran church, in Hampton. Rev AF Lindner, pastor, conducted the last rites and burial was made in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery. Mr Dohrmann passed away very suddenly early Monday morning at the Lutheran hospital in Hampton, where he had been taken Sunday evening.
Edward Louis Dohrmann, son of Mr and Mrs Frederick Dohrmann, was born May 10, 1879, in Hampton. On June 3, 1903, he was married to Helena Gade of Hampton. They lived on farms in different parts of Franklin county until 1952 when they retired and moved to Hampton. He was a member of the board of trustees and treasurer of the Lutheran hospital for forty years.
Survivors are his wife, four sons, Lester Dohrmann, of Hampton, Rev Edward Dohrmann, pastor of St Paul's Lutheran church in Ida Grove; Rev Reinhold G Dohrmann, pastor of Zion Lutheran church in Atlantic; and David S Dohrmann of Waterloo; and two daughters, Mrs Gertrude Juengel and Mrs Kenneth W Showalter of Hampton. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs Anna Behn of Hampton, and fifteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, his parents, two sisters and five brothers.
