James went to be with the Lord Oct.04,1977.He is the son of the late Norman H. and Gaye M. Likens-Pennington.He is survived by his wife Barbara Katherine Quick-Pennington and two daughters,Julie and Candy Pennington of Lynchburg,Va.He is also survived by five sisters,Shirley Jean Simmers of Petersburg,W.V.,Betty Ann Hoover of Harrisonburg,Va.,Sherry May Charlton of Martinsburg,W.V.,Linda Sue Pennington and Wilma Fern Pennington of Upper Tract,W.V.,three brothers,Richard Norman Pennington of Upper Tract,W.V.,Roger Lee Pennington of Harrisonburg,W.V. and Russell Leroy Pennington of Upper Tract,W.V.
He was preceded in death by one sister,Eleanor Marie Varner and one brother,Robert Allen "Bobby" Pennington.
He was a member of the Church of God.
