E. S. Dunnuck died at Bethesda hospital in Topeka, Saturday evening, October 26, at 9:00 o`clock after an illness of but six weeks the last four of which he was bedridden. The cause of his death was cancer of the stomach. He was taken to Topeka, Friday a week ago, to undergo an operation for the relief of his trouble and although he passed `
through the operation safely the disease had so great a hold upon his system that recovery was impossible and death resulted as above stated.

The body was brought to Marysville Tuesday accompanied by Mrs. Dunnuck and daughter, Miss Edna, who had gone to Topeka a few days prior to the decease of Mr. Dunnuck, and taken to the family residence.

The funeral services will be held at the residence this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:00 o‘c1ook, Rev. E. E. Urner delivering the sermon and the interment will be made in the Marysville cemetery, services at the grave to be in charge of the Modern Woodman lodge of which order the deceased was a member.

Edward Sale Dunnuck was born at Milford, Kosciusko county, Ind., February 11, 1853 and at the age of ten years came to Kansas and located in Washington county. He was married in that county to Miss Martha Reddick, on February 28, 1875 and to this union three sons were born -- H. A. Dunnuck, Livingston, Mont., W. A. Dunnuck, Nampa, Idaho, and H. C. Dunnuck, McCook, Nebr. Mrs. Dunnuck died in 1879.

On December 19, 1883 Mr. Dunnuck was united in marriage to Miss Lelia Ann Stanley. Five children were born to this union -- Edna, George, Arletta, Blanche and Everett. George died a little over a year ago.

Mr. Dunnuck removed with his family to Marshall county and located in Marysville in March, 1898 and the family have since made their residence here. Besides his wife and children above mentioned, there are surviving two sisters -- Mrs. A. E. Driskell, Oberlin, Kans., Mrs. A. M. Hough, Ponca, Oklahoma, two half sisters--Mrs. Kate Peterson, Forsythe, Mont., Mrs. Samantha Driskell, Westing, Ore., and one brother, G. F. Dunnuck of Washington, Kans.

For-many years the deceased ran a wagon in this city delivering oil and in his daily rounds made many warm friends by his general friendliness and good fellowship and his absence will be keenly felt as the many homes in this city miss his pleasant daily call. The bereaved relatives have the tenderest sympathy of a host of friends in their hour of affliction.
