Simmons died Thursday in Permian General Hospital here after an illness.
He was born Dec.26,1895 in Bonham,and was married to Lorene T.Royal in Hollis,Okla. in 1920.
He was a veteran of WWI . He was a retired driller for Mobil Oil Company,and had been an Andrews resident since 1957.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son,three daughters, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
