OBITUARY TAKEN FROM STURGIS JOURNAL. Jesse Robert Chapman, was born in Montpelier, In., June 30, 1918, a son of Levi and Rose(Hart) Chapman. He was married to Dorothy L. Krontz, December 13, 1939, in Hicksville, OH. He had been a truck driver for the G. and A. Lines and had retired in 1957 due to ill health. He was a veteran of World War II and had been on service-connected disbility for a number of years. Surviving are the widow; a son, Robert Chapman of Mendon; three daughers, Mrs. Arthur (Shirley Ann) Clauss of Constantine and Betty Jane and Barby Lynn, both at home; his sister Mrs. Irma Knight of Sturgis; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
