Professional Hall of Fame Hockey Player. He played for the teams, North Toronto Juniors (1931-1932), Sudbury Wolves (1932-1933), Toronto Torontos (1933-1934), Toronto All-Stars (1934-1935), Toronto McColl (1934-1935), Toronto Dominions (1935-1936), Kirkland Lake Blue Devils (1936-1940), Montreal Royals (1940-1943), and the Montreal Canadiens (1943-1950). In his career he won 2 Stanley Cup Championships, participated in 3 NHL All-Star contests in 1947, 1948, and 1949, and won the Vezina Trophy in, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1949, and 1950. He passed away from Diabetes induced Kidney failure in his native Toronto at the age of 57.
