Margie Neal Lawless Moss passed away in The Woodlands, Texas on Monday, November 8, 2010 from a chronic pulmonary disease. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, James B. (Jay) Moss, her 3 daughters- Molly Foster, Jamie Forrest and Amanda Dufrene, 3 grandchildren - Blake, Blair and Ellen - her sister and brother, Lorraine Hahne and Steve Lawless. Margie was a long-time resident of New Orleans, LA after she and her husband, Jay, had lived in Houston, Texas, for a few years. She was born in Panola County, TX. on January 7, 1925 to Arthur Howell Lawless and Christine Howell Lawless. She was a graduate of Gladewater High School in 1941 and was Miss Gladewater in 1939. She attended Northwestern Louisiana College in Natchitoches, Louisiana and Kilgore Junior College, Kilgore, Texas, where she was a member of the world famous Kilgore Rangerettes drill team. Marge married James Blake Moss 12-25-1941. She worked in her first job in 1942 for the US Air Force in DeRidder, Louisiana. In later years, she was an avid tennis player at Aurora Country Club, loved to play bridge,and was a faithful member of the Aurora United Methodist Church in Algiers. She was also a very imaginative and good cook. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
