Stephen J. Schuster, 86, formerly of North St. Paul, MN. and father of an Amherst woman, died Monday, March 3, 2003, at Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church in North St. Paul, MN. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in North St. Paul, MN. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sandburg Mortuary in North St. Paul. A Memorial Mass will take place at a later date in Amherst.
Mr. Schuster was born May 1, 1916, in St. Paul, MN., a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Weinzettl) Schuster.
He was married to Helen Conlan on Feb. 23, 1942, in St. Paul, MN. She died Oct. 14, 1989.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana L. (Carl) Bohman, Amherst; one son, Steven C. (Carol) Schuster, White Bear Lake, MN.; one sister, Anna Taylor, St. Paul, MN.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Ricarda S.S.N.D. and Dolores Schuster; and one brother, Richard Schuster.
