Paula Bunner
Paula Sue Whitling Bunner, 51, a resident of 1639 Fairmont Ave. in Clarksburg, departed this life at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, in the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. She had been in declining health for the past three years and death was attributed to cancer.
She was born May 25, 1953, at Oil City, Pa., the daughter of the late James and Isabel Graham Whitling.
On Jan. 17, 2004, she was united in marriage to Thomas H. Bunner who survives at their home in Clarksburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Howard Whitling of Oil City, Pa., and James Whitling and wife, Sue, of Terre Haute, Ind.; and her mother-in-law, Jean Bunner of Belington.
Mrs. Bunner was a 1971 graduate of the Oil City High School in Oil City, Pa.
She was a former employee of Sears Roebuck Inc. in Oil City Pa., and was presently a member of the Old Time Baptist Church in Clarksburg.
She was active in the American Cancer Society, formerly taught Sunday School at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Oil City, was a past member of the board for the Evangelical Conference in the United Methodist Church and was a member of the board for the Cherry Run Methodist Church Camp in Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and on Saturday until 2 p.m., the funeral hour when services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Leonard Ludwig officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery near Belington. The Talbott Funeral Home of Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Paula Sue Whitling Bunner.
