Mary T. Thompson, 74, of Route 8 died Oct. 31, 1982, at Boone Hospital Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Parker Funeral Chapel, 10th and Walnut streets, with the Rev. Michael Crouch officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Thompson was born Sept. 8, 1908, in Boone County to John and Nettie Turner Kemper. She married J. W. "Jack" Thompson July 20, 1952, at the First Christian Church in Columbia. A graduate of Hallsville High School and the University of Missouri, she worked in the registrar's office at the university and then in agriculture statistics for the federal government for 28 years before retiring. Mrs. Thompson was a member of First Christian Church. Surviving are her husband, Jack Thompson; two daughters, Mrs. Luke A. (Joan) Chase and Mrs. Charles N. (Carol) Lee, both of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Earle Dysart and Mrs. Roy jones, also of Columbia; four grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Christian Church, 10th and Walnut streets, Columbia.
