Virginia T. Green was born June 22, 1910 in Boone County, Missouri to William Edwin and Annie Elizabeth Woodson Thompson. On September 6, 1930, she married James T. Green and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1945. Mrs. Green had lived her entire life in Boone County. She attended Columbia High School and secretarial school in Columbia. She started working at Parkers Furniture Store in 1934, and later became part owner and secretary-treasurer of Parker Funeral Service. She sold the business and retired on June 30, 1980. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she was an honorary Deaconess. She was a member of the Altrusa Club of Columbia. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Frances Glenn of Columbia, three nieces, three nephews, and eighteen great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, and one brother. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, 101 N. Tenth St., Columbia, MO. 65201
