CHARLES J. LUNDIE
Charles Julius Lundie, 51, co-owner and operator of the Lundie Furniture Store on River Road in Chesterfield County, for many years, died Thursday in Petersburg General Hospital of a heart attack after several years of declining health. He was a native and life-long resident of Chesterfield County, and was a son of the late Walter and Mrs. Lucy Winfield Lundie. Mr. Lundie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagle, Aerie No. 882.
He is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Ann Jordan Lundie, two sons; Charles Leroy Lundie and Gerald Glenn Lundie of Chesterfield County; three sisters: Mrs. V. L. Major of Richmond; Mrs. G. W. Anthony of Petersburg; and Mrs. B. T. McNelis of Colonial Heights; five brothers: Walter Lundie and Elwood Lundie, both of Ettrick; O. B. Lundie of River Road, Chesterfield County; George Lundie of Woodpecker Road, Chesterfield County; and Fred Lundie of Craddock; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p. m. in the chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son with the Rev. B. R. Yarbrough, pastor of Ettrick Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George County.
