Andrea Hansen, 4, traveled steerage with her mother and three sisters on board the SS Norge. The family were saved and spent several days in an open lifeboat in the Atlantic. Andrea suffered greatly and even after rescue, she died in hospital. Her mother and three sisters survived and went on to America. The family had also lost the youngest child, Isidore Josefine (2), only months before travel.
She is buried in Stornoway, Outer Hebrides, Scotland with seven other children and one man who died after rescue. A memorial was erected by the people of Stornoway some years after the disaster.

Inscription

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death neither sorrow or crying. Neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away. Rev.XXI.

Full inscription reads:
Sacred to the memory of ALFIELD NATALIA HINDERSEN of Christiania, Norway. Aged 5 years.

Survivors from the S.S. ''Norge'' of Copenhagen wrecked on Rockall 28th June, 1904, landed at Stornoway 4th July, but died here.
