WATAGA - Gerald Lee Heady, 62, of Rural Route 1 died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at his residence.
Born Aug. 9, 1940, to Harvey and Mabel Chapman Heady, he married Joyce Easley on Dec. 10, 1961, in Galesburg. She died July 24, 1988.
Surviving are his parents of Wataga; one son, of Wataga; one daughter, of Galesburg; one brother, two sisters and six grandchildren.
He had been a farmer and an electrician for Maytag Corp. for 43 years, retiring in 2001.
He was a member of the Prairie Drifters Snowmobile Club and the Maytag Electrical Union.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Henderson Grove, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Kurt Carlsen will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel Galesburg. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to his church or the American Liver Foundation.
