Dear, sweet woman, left this Earth today to go to Heaven.

Moydale Neuman McNutt was often called “Moy” by friends and family, but her favorite name was “B.I.” which her granddaughter Michelle started calling her. She was born in Rosenberg, Texas on August 25, 1920 to Agnes Dobesh Neuman and Joseph Neuman. When she was nine, her family moved into the house on Second Street where she lived for eighty years.

Moydale attended Robert E. Lee Elementary School and graduated from Rosenberg High School. She was the catcher for the softball team, in the drum and fife corps, and participated in numerous other activities. She made many life-long friends while in school, and looked forward to their reunions later in life.

Shortly after graduating from high school, she met the love of her life, James Nelson (Snakey) McNutt. On October 14, 1941, they were married at the First Baptist Church in Rosenberg. While Snakey was in the Army (stateside as well as in Africa and Europe) during WWII, they wrote to each other every day.

When Snakey returned to Rosenberg after the war, he started McNutt Electric. Moydale served as the bookkeeper for McNutt Electric, and later for Lights Unlimited, until she retired in 2009. She was the bookkeeper for McNutt Electric for 63 years.

Moydale was a member of the Garden Club, a book club, the Ft. Bend County Library Association, a docent for the Ft. Bend County Museum and the George Ranch Historical Park, and participated in several bridge groups. She served as treasurer for the First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg and was on the Board of Trustees for many decades. She was active in the PTA while her children were in school, active in supporting Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball while her son played baseball, and active in supporting the Rosenberg Swim Team while both her children were part of the team. Moydale was known for her baking and was always willing to bake something for a bake sale.

During an incredibly active life, her greatest joys came from making a home for her family, entertaining and cooking for family and friends, filling her yard with beautiful flowers, and helping others whenever possible. Everyone she met became a friend. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Jermel, and her beloved husband, Snakey.

She is survived by her daughter, Gaye; her son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Donna; two granddaughters, Madonna McNutt Self and Dr. Michelle McNutt and her husband, Dr. Billy Gill; one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Self, and nieces and nephews and their children.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff at The Village at Colonial Oaks, Dr. Shiva Satish, and Nurse Practitioner Jeff Jones who took such good care of Moydale over the last few years.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, 1127 Third Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Rev. Bob Sinclair officiating.

A Private Family Burial will precede the Memorial Service.

Honorary pall bearers are Moydale’s nephews: Paul McNutt, Jim McNutt, Darrell McNutt, Al McNutt, and Tim McNutt.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F.) 3911 Avenue I, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, Inc., 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471
