Pearl Eunice Tuttle was the eldest child of Burton E. Tuttle and Rosa May Holmes.

When she was eight, Pearl and her two sisters (Verna, 5 and Ruby, 2) suddenly found themselves motherless when Rosa May collapsed one day in November of 1904 while visiting her parents and died a short while later.

Left with three small children to care for, Burton remarried and began another family with his second wife, Dorothy.

One of Pearl's aunts had married and settled with her husband in Milwaukee, and Pearl lived with her aunt and uncle for some time and graduated from nearby East Division (Riverside) High School in 1915.

The Allan Davis family lived in the area, and Pearl met and eventually married their eldest son, Alfred Davis, who was a printer by trade.

When Alfred joined the Army in WWI, he was based in Illinois and Pearl went with him. Their two children, Burton and Corrine Davis, were born in Illinois, but Pearl and Alfred kept close ties with their out-of-state families.

After the war, Alfred continued working as a printer, and the family moved to Mount Morris, Illinois.

Her son Burton joined the Air Force, (eventually serving in three conflicts: WWII, Korea, Vietnam), and her daughter Corrine married in the 1940's.

Pearl and Alfred moved to Florida, where he passed away in 1955.

1956 was a busy year as Pearl married a second time and her daughter Corrine and her family moved to Florida. Years later, her son Burton and his family also settled in Florida after his retirement.

Pearl had been a proof reader for a publishing company, and was preceded in death by first husband Alfred, second husband Mack, and her son-in-law, Donald D. King.
