ASHLEY M. WEIMER, 21, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at her home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a 2008 graduate of Carroll High School, attended Ivy Tech, Aveda Institute of Indianapolis, and was a CNA. She was active in volleyball, gymnastics and cheer-leading. "God saw you getting tired, a cure was not meant to be. He wrapped you in his loving arms and whispered, "Come with Me." You suffered much in silence, your spirit did not bend. You faced your pain with courage, until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us and your fight was not in vain. God took you to His loving home and freed you from your pain." Surviving are her husband, Greg Schiek of Fort Wayne; mother, Mary Jo Swinehart of Fort Wayne; father, Dennis (Debby) Weimer of Churubusco; grandmother, Sheila (John) Barchak of Fort Wayne; grandfather, James Weimer of Peru; grandparents; Robert and Sharon Wilson of Marion; step-grandparents, William and Dwanna Matlock; brother, Jeffery Weimer; stepbrother, Ryan Lothamer; stepsisters, Kayla, Haley and Kerigan Lothamer all of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Swinehart; and cousin Kelsey Swinehart. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont, with a vigil at 8:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
