Birdie Conley Adams, age 89, of Detroit, died October 24, 2011, at her resdience.

She was born in Bogata on July 21, 1922, to Gordan and Madge Norwood Davidson. Birdie was a homemaker and member of the Midway Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services are scheduled Friday October 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Ellis and Rev. Calvin Perminter officiating. Interment will follow at Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilan and husband Jim Gatlin of the Woodland Community, and Jannie and husband Charles McClain of Lorena; Grandchildren, Adam and Lisa Gatlin, Chase and Allison McClain, Bryce and Tiffany Gatlin, Jill and John Hobbs and Cloby Gatlin; and six Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Adams; her parents; her sisters, Margariet Vahle and Louise Long.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Adam Gatlin, Chase McClain, Bryce Gatlin, Colby Gatlin, Gordon Vahle and Chuck Long.
