Haire, Vera Alvina (nee Lippold), age 89, of Joliet, passed away on June 18, 2011, at Our Lady of Angels surrounded by her loving family. Vera was born in Goodfarm Township, IL; October 19, 1921. Preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Edward (1951) and Anna Minnie (nee Krug) (1970) Lippold, her loving husband Gilbert E. (2006), infant son Dennis Hoss (1943), son Gilbert V. (2001), granddaughter Susan (1985), brothers, Harvey Fredrick, Harold John, Roy Martin, Clarence Edward, Fredrick Gene and sisters, Margaret Louise, Louise Minnie, Thelma Eileen, Iohla Elnore. Survived by her daughters, Donna Gause of Woodlands, TX, Sharon (Art) Stafford of Joliet, IL, daughter-in-law, Kathy (Gilbert V.) of Joliet, IL. nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Vera worked at the Joliet Ammunitions Plant during World War II, where she met Gilbert E. Haire; they were united in holy matrimony on Febuary 14, 1945. Vera also worked at the Tally Ho Snack Shop in the Hillcrest Shopping Center. A member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church. Vera was devoted to her children. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 9-10 at Our Lady of Angels, 1201 Wyoming Ave., Joliet with a processional to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 North Broadway, Joliet for a funeral service at 11:00 am.
