Mr. Abercrombie was a native of Lumpkin County. He was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church and was a co-owner of Dahlonega Trust Company.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bety Sue Cox, Dahlonega; a daughter, Nancy Sue Abercrombie, Dahlonega; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Purvis Abercrombie, Dahlonega; two brothers, Homer Abercrombie and Burce Abercrombie, both of Dahlonega; his grandmother, Mrs. Dovie Abercrombie, Dahlonega.
