10 November 1902 Lancaster Intelligencer

William A.* Sailor died on Saturday at the Lancaster county hospital, of which he was an inmate for several months. He was 79 years old, a native of Florin and a pump maker by trade. He removed from Florin to this city many years ago and carried on business in this city until his declining health compelled him to retire, his surviving children are Maria and Matilda, of this city; Shelly and Joseph living in the west. His body will be taken to Florin for interment tomorrow afternoon.
*the "A" is a typo - should be "M."
----
Married 18 Dec 1845; Zion German Lutheran Church in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA
to Barbara Leib Martin (His name was listed as Sailer)
---
1860 and 1870 census shows him and family living in East Donegal, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania Later at least some of the family members moved to Lancaster with Barbara.
----
William and Barbara were divorced in Lancaster. Date of Decree: June 9 1879.

Most all the children moved away from the area or died early.
Matilda "Tillie" Sailor mentioned evidently left the area after William died per her brothers obits (1908 she was in Cody, Wyoming and 1911 in Livingston, Montana) Haven't been able to find anything on her. Oldest sister Anna married and went to South Dakota and died there in 1902. Her daughter Anna died intestate in Canada which spawned a search for heirs. George Yancy died in Denver Colorado. He may have gone there for health reasons. I haven't seen any other records besides a handwritten tree written by my grandfather. William and Joseph were involved in the Tobacco business and union and lived in Connecticut, another son, Abram Shelly went to Chicago by way of Ohio working for the phone company. Maria (pronounced Mariah by family) was the last family member and was the only one to stay in the area. She worked in the fabric mills and died single.

Looking for more info on this family more details on individual memorials. William is my brick wall.
