SADIE RODDEN
Poteau - Sadie Helen Rodden, 75, of Glenrock, Wyo., formerly of Huntington (Arkansas), died Tuesday in a Poteau (Oklahoma) hospital.

Funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Glenrock Cemetery in Wyoming.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Jo Masterson of Casper, Wyo.; two stepdaughters, Sharon Plaster and Sandra Goodrich of Tridell, Utah; two sons, Robert Charles Roy of Rawlins, Wyoming, and Jerry Warren Roy of Baytown, Texas; a stepson, Richard Rogers of Jackson, Mississippi; a sister, Anna Cox of Greenwood, Arkansas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services for Sadie Rogers Rodden, 75, of Glenrock, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Glenrock Community Baptist Church iin Glenrock, Wyoming, with Rev. Dwayne Axworthy of the Casper First Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. Rodden died December 10, 1985 at Poteau, Oklahoma following a long illness. Born March 15, 1910, the daughter of Charles and Lily Beggs in Arcoal [sic] [contributor's comment: should be Arkola), Arkansas, she was reared and educated there.

She married Elmain Roy in Arkansas in 1926. They moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where they lived for a number of years.

In 1958, she married R.[Richard] Fletcher Rogers in Glenrock, Wyoming. Her husband died in 1978. In March of 1983, she married Doc Rodden.

She was a member of Glenella Rebekah Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Glenrock, Wyoming.

Survivors include three sons, Robert E. Roy of Rawlins, Wyoming, Jerry W. Roy of Baytown, Texas, and Richard Rogers, of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Betty J. Masterson of Casper, Wyoming, Mrs. Sharon Plasters of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Mrs. Sandra Goodrich of San Antonio, Texas; her twin sister, Anna Cox of Greenwood, Arkansas; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Joe, and Carl Beggs; one daughter, Mary Bonita Roy; and one son, Elmain Roy.

Burial will be in the Glenrock Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bustard Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday evening.
