Roy was a Korean War Veteran, having served with the 1st Cavalry in Korea. He was a member of the 5th Cav Association. He was a wonderful person, and never met a stranger.
During one 5th Cav reunion, we were at the Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C. We spent several hours looking up the names of his platoon that had died in battle. It amazed me that he remembered so many that was lost! We printed all their bios/pictures off for his memory book, some got printed twice. Roy and I were friends, and he is missed greatly.
