She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, crafts, TV sports, music, and most of all, her family.
In 1976, she was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, James R. Horton. She then married Raymond L. Batt. They were married 22 years prior to his death in 2001. They owned and operated Batt Tile Company and both served as Pottawatomie County Posse Members.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, Charles and Goldie Sturdivan; her father, Burt Deel; one daughter, Debra Rae Batt; and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Briggs .
She is survived by sisters, JoAnn Forrester, of Casper, Wyo., and Ann Sellers, of Prague; one brother, Chuck Sturdivan, of Owasso; three daughters, Susan L. Hooper and husband, Garland, of McLoud, Lisa A. Cotten and husband, Frank, of Eufaula, Kathie J. Briggs and husband, Royce, of Meeker; son, Bobby Goodin, of Flower Mound, Texas; three grandsons, Craig Hooper, Jeffrey Austin and Lance Briggs; six granddaughters, Shirica Armitage, Jeanna Fowler, Robynn Stell, Jacquelyn Mergeux, Melissa Mergeux and Jaymie Batt; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her faithful companion, Jo-Li.
The family will be at the funeral home to visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday. Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 3, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Larry Sparks officiating.
