Leon Chubb, 58, of Central Square, R,D. 2, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, where he had beenL critical condition since April 20 following a one-car crash.He died in the hospital 10 days after he was injured while a passenger in a car driven by Mrs. Anna E. Leagon of 830 Park St., Syracuse, when the car left Sandridge Road in tihe Town of Schroeppel, seven miles east of Phoenix and rolled over a 10-foot bank into a creek. : Mr. Chubb suffered severe chest injuries, facial lacerations, and fractures of the right leg and left arm in the accident which was investigated by deputy sheriffs. He was a native of Central Square and was employed at the General Electric CO. in Syracuse. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lilah Flint Chubb; two daughters, Miss Melva Chubb of Palermo and Mrs. Gorden Trimble of Palermo; a son, Lee Chubb of Mexico; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Gordon of Fulton and Mrs. Gerald Ladd of Fulton; two brothers, James Chubb of Fulton and Edward Chubb of Cortland; also several nieces and nephews. Private services were at his home Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Charles Ouderkirk, pastor of the Upsons Corners Church officiated. Burial was in Upsons Corners Cemetery.
