Ronald Andrew Bowein, 62, of Goodyear, formerly of Flagstaff, died June 12, 2011. He was born Feb. 22, 1949, in Highland Park, Mich.

He had made a home with his family in Arizona since 1994. He was a proud member of The Brotherhood of Dak To Defenders 299th Engineers. He was a truck driver for Central Freight Lines, enjoying the open roads.

Mr. Bowein is survived by his wife, LuAnn Bowein; sons Charles and Edward; daughter Melanie; mother Doris Bowein; mother-in-law Joyce Wiley; and sisters Charlotte Kiefer, Lynda Alvarez and Paulla Walker.

A private graveside service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.

In lieu of flowers, memorial funds may be sent to Chase bank, account No. 2997851015. The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley for the excellent care they received.
