She was born on her Mother's birthday, so she was named after her Mother, but everyone called her Carolyn not to get them confused. She had a tough time in life, her father died when she was 16, she married at 17 and had a child when she was still one herself. Though times were tough on her she was always there for her daughter no matter what. Before retiring due to illness she worked at Pamper Dry Cleaners for many years. She walked to work every day. She loved to read, loved Gone With The Wind, and she liked to watch wrestling and roller derby on tv. She also loved the old I love Lucy reruns. She did crochet and made many beautiful afgans and other items. She loved Elvis, and Neil Diamond especially the song Sweet Caroline. She loved to walk and would go on long walks in the neighborhood until she was unable to do so. She was a diabetic with neuropahty that kept her up at night with pain in her feet and legs. She found joy in her church group called The Young At Heart, she loved seeing her friends in church and on the little trips that they would take. She helped make sure others got to church each week by manning the phones and making sure everyone who needed it had a ride. She made sure she did this even when she was about to go into the hospital. She died way to young at 57 from a stroke. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who will never be forgotten by those who love her.
Margaret Carolyn Golden
Carolyn, we never knew that we would miss you so,
Sometimes, we called to hear your voice-we just want you to know---
We miss your humor, your quick response, the way you made us laugh,
Mama said, "Carolyn can always think of something like her Daddy to make you laugh"
There were so many sad times-days and nights filled with pain,
We can't be sorry they're gone,
You woke up in Heaven with family there, to face a brand new dawn!
So tell them when you left us, although our hearts are sad,
We thank the Lord for "freeing" you and this helps make us glad!
We'll never forget and we miss you now, but know that one day too,
Our time will come when we'll say goodbye here and come there to be with all of you.
