Mildred E. Inman, 89

EAST PALESTINE – Mildred E. Inman, 89, formerly of East Clark Street in East Palestine, died Monday morning at the St. Francis Nursing Center, Newport News, Va.


Mrs. Inman was born May 13, 1919 in Beaver, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles and Harriet A. Welsch Van Kirk. She had lived in Williamsburg, Va., for the past 12 years after leaving East Palestine.


She had been employed as a floral designer for local florists for several years and was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.


Her husband, Kenneth W. Inman, whom she married June 29, 1940, died July 15, 1996.


She is survived by two daughters, Linda Marquis of Williamsburg, Va. and Mrs. William (Jo Ellen) Fullerton of Williamsburg, Va.; grandchildren, Kenneth Marquis, Al Perez, Kristopher Marquis, Kelly Jenkins-Jones, Jenny (Tom) Charlson, Carrie (David Martin) Rashleigh, Travis (Ashley) Fullerton, Jessica (Ryan) Corbitt, and Megan (fiancé, William Anthony Strollo) Fullerton; and great-grandchildren, Chelsey Jenkins, T. J. Jones, Leilani Jones, Ella Charlson, Tyler Charlson, Andrew Charlson, and William Rashleigh.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor David Martin, of Centenary United Methodist Church, officiating.


Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery.


Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.


Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
