Kenneth Wade Bekemeier, 52, Freistatt, died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at his home near Freistatt. He was born March 2, 1959, in Birmingham, Ala., to Arlie and Nadine (Kramme) Bekemeier. He married Monnie Diane Howard July 19, 1987, in Eudora. She survives.
He served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for MFA in Freistatt and was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Adrienne Bekemeier of the home and Melissa Bekemeier, Springfield; and one sister, Barbara Wehofer, Grove, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Zion United Church of Christ, with the Revs. Jimie Copley and Bob Fairs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, under the direction of Lakin Funeral Home, Pierce City.
