William "Bill" Harrison Brooks, 70, of East Ridge, Tenn., departed this life Wednesday, June 8, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Willard Brooks; brother, Steve Brooks; and sister, Linda B. Moore.
Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later retired from Covenant Transport after 13 years of service as director of recruiting.
Survivors include his sons, Doug Brooks of Dalton, Kurt Brooks of Rostal, Germany; mother, Evelyn Brooks; sister, June Cox of Suwanee; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
