Mrs. Henry (Pauline) Winkelhake, 70, of 823 North Liberty Street, Elgin, died Sunday at the Four Seasons Nursing Center, Elgin. Born October 24, 1901 in Plato Township, the daughter of Adolph and Dorothea Volkening Plote, she resided in Elgin most of her life. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Elgin. Surviving are 3 sons and 5 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mrs. William (Annie) Totenhagen of Bartlett, Mrs. Edward (Ida) Wesemann of Plato Cneter and Mrs. Carl (Clara) Jensen of Montello, Wisconsin and 3 brothers, Ernest Plote of Plato Center, Herman Plote of Payette, Idaho and William Plote of LaGrange Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Edward Frike; her second husband Henry Winkelhake; 4 brothers, Adolph, Fred, Carl, and Gustav Plote and 1 granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, the Rev. Robert Jaeger officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery
