Thelma G. Boyer, 74, of Petoskey, died May 2, 1991, at her residence.
Funeral will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 6, at the Charles G. Parks Funeral Home, Petoskey. Pastor Henry G. Maxwell will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The former Thelma G. Caudel was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Winston-Salem, N.C., the daughter of Laurie and Carrie (Crutchfield) Caudel.
She attended schools in Winston-Salem and married Harvey W. Boyer on April 20, 1935 in Winston-Salem. They moved to Petoskey in 1938. Mr. Boyer preceded her in death March 12, 1991.
Mrs. Boyer was a member of Edgewater Baptist Church of Petoskey and had worked at Crago's in Petoskey. She retired in 1977 after working for 20 years as a cook at Giles Restaurant, which became Bay's Restaurant in 1972.
Survivors include seven children, William Boyer and his wife Zada; Tom Boyer and his wife Linda; Allen Boyer and his wife Diane; Larry Boyer and his wife Claudia, all of Petoskey; Robert Boyer of Tucson, Ariz.; Robin Anderson and her husband Dale of Afton; Yvonne Dell and her husband Robert of Colorado Springs, Colo; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Fogelman and Sylvia Cates both of Winston-Salem; three nieces and three nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay. Envelopes for that purpose will be available at the Charles G. Parks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, May 5.
